Why is the Forward Scan free?
Because the best way to show how we work is to do some of it. Most owners don’t know what’s wrong or what a fair price is. The Scan answers both in 20 minutes. Whether or not you hire us, you keep the video and the report.
What do you need from us?
A link to the app and, ideally, read-only access to the code or database. If it’s private, tick the box and we’ll send instructions for a read-only invite you can remove afterwards. We never need passwords sent by email, and we never change anything during a Scan.
Do we have to get on a call?
No. You get a recorded video and a written summary. A 30-minute review call is available if you want one, but it isn’t required to understand the findings or to start a Sprint. Many owners forward the summary to a partner and reply by email.
What if our app isn’t live yet?
Then a rescue isn’t the right step. We’ll send you our 25-point Security Checklist so you launch without the common gaps, and explain Forward Build if you’d rather have it built properly from day one. Scans are reserved for apps people already depend on.
Is the Scan a full security audit?
No. It’s a focused 20-minute review of the risks most likely to cost you money or expose data: who can see what, exposed keys, payments, backups and ownership. A full mapping of every screen and integration happens in Week 1 of a Sprint, which also locks your price.
How accurate is the price band?
The band is right for most apps we scan. Week 1 of the Sprint confirms the exact fixed number before the rest of the work starts. If what we find changes the picture, you can walk away and keep the findings report. You never pay for a surprise.
Can you sign an NDA first?
Yes. Ask for our standard mutual NDA in the form’s worry box or by email, and we’ll send it before you share access. Your code and data stay yours throughout.
What happens after the Scan?
You’ll get one email two days later asking if you have questions, and a short case study from a similar business a few days after that. If you want us to fix the #1 risk, reply and we’ll send the Sprint proposal. Otherwise, we offer a free re-scan in 90 days.
